How Do You Upgrade Your Electric Scooter?

Utility Scooters have been around for several decades. In the old days, when you bought an electric scooter, you would be lucky to get eight to help ten miles out of a charge and would be thrilled to go as fast as twelve miles each hour. That was then. These days, electric scooters can get as much as twenty to thirty miles on a charge and can quite simply cruise at speeds up to in excess of twenty to twenty-five miles per hour.

If you have been toying around using just replacing your old time scooter, you do have a few choices. You can either retire your aged scooter or you can upgrade. Most if not the majority of scooter dealers will tell you either that it can't be executed, or it's a waste of money. As a scooter sales and service center, I'm telling you that it is probable and can sometimes be cheaper than just replacing your old buddy.

The more batteries, the more weight the scooter can carry at optimum output for a specified distance. Voltage is important in determining the distance an electric powered scooter will go.
Say that you have a three-hundred-fifty watt, 24 volt (that's 2 batteries) electric scooter and you had a rider that weighs one humdred and fifty lbs. You can take that scooter about 15 to 20 miles on a charge. Put a 230 lb person on that same scooter, you will only be able to get 12-18 miles on the same charge.
If you get that 150 lb rider on a three-hundred-fifty watt, 36 volt (that's 3 batteries) electric scooter, choosing able to increase the distance by about 3-6 miles on a charge. The same goes true for the 220 lbs rider.
The average cost for the 12 volt batteries is from $35. 00 to $45. 00.
That motor need to be able to work with the controller and the batteries to pull the right amount of juice to run properly. Contrary to popular belief, the more wattage the motor, the further it will go. As well as the belief that there is such a great pace advantage from getting a higher wattage motor. No matter what you do to a 350 watt motor, the only thing that is going to switch is going to be the traveling distance and that is with the increased battery power. The same hold true with the 500 watt techniques and above.
When you get above 500 watts, the real difference is so minuscule that we have decided not to quite possibly carry these expensive and troublesome alternatives. The best you're going to do with a 500 watt, 36 volt process is from 20 to 25 miles per hour and 18 to 25 miles on a charge, that's being realistic.
